Currently seat of the Town Hall of Breme, the Abbey of San Pietro, which was one of the most important abbeys in Italy and Europe during the 10th and 13th century, hosted fist the monks of Novalesa and then the Olivetani monks from Monte Oliveto (province of Siena) since 1952 .
The abbey complex includes the Crypt which, belonging to the ancient church of the tenth century, is all that is left of the ancient abbey, the Cloister, the Kitchen of the Friars, the Icebox and the Refectory dating back to the sixteenth century.
